Skincare is important to every girl, and I'm no exception.

I have quite bad skin thanks to years of having acne. My pores are always visible and I have (what I consider) pretty bad scaring. But that's all beginning to change thanks to the Simple minis collection.

I purchased the product during the Christmas period, in fact I actually bought two boxes as in Spain the Simple brand isn't on sale in shops, only in expat stores but its far too expensive for one bottle.

The box contained three mini bottles of the Kind to Skin range:

Kind to Skin moisturising facial wash

Kind to Skin soothing facial toner

Kind to Skin hydrating light moisturiser

What I love about all these products is that they leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. I always get that "clean" feeling after I've used them.
I have quite oily skin, and as I said before I have a fair bit of scaring. With these product I feel that they aren't harsh on my skin, they soothe my face. Unlike other brands I've used over the years, Kind to Skin has the perfect blend of ingredients and vitamins. It also has no artificial perfumes or colour, which helps keep my skin cleansed and nourished.

I use the hydrating moisturiser as a base for my make up and it works wonders. My make up seems to last that little bit longer when I apply the moisturiser. It also leaves my skin feeling ultra soft and my pores seem to be less visible.

I love each on these products equally, the only thing that I don't like is the smell, particularly the facial wash. The only way I can describe the smell is by saying that I reminds me of PlayDoh. But I suppose that is the fact that there aren't any artificial perfumes. Apart from that I will definitely be buying the bigger bottles as I have finally found a brand that works for my skin type, which makes me one very happy girl who is starting to love her skin. :)

Hello everyone!
First off a huge thank you to Michaela from Michael-Leigh for tagging me in "the fairy tale tag". There seems to be some very personal questions, which I´m a little nervous at answering, but it just means that you lovely people get to know me a little better. Let´s get started!

Snow White - Do you consider yourself beautiful?
Not really. I suffer from breakouts like everyone, but I have a tiny bit of scaring and that's kinda knocked my confidence a little. Over the years I've learnt to accept my looks. Sometimes I have bad days where I look awful, and then there are others when I think "oh! I look quite nice today."

Sleeping Beauty - How many hours do you sleep at night?
I think I sleep for around about 8 hours, so the average. Although there are times where I like to stay in bed a bit longer.

Cinderella - Do you have a curfew?
This question made me laugh. No I don´t have a curfew. I think if I did then me and my parents would definitely be sitting down and discussing why they felt to do so. I'm lucky though, in the sense that I know my parents trust me, therefore I have more freedom.

Rapunzel - Do you love being outside?
That all depends on the weather and where I am. I do like to go out and explore, but here in the summer it gets really (and I mean really) hot. But in the winter I like to take my dog for a nice walk and feel the wind in my hair.

Red Riding Hood - Do you trust strangers easily?
No! I'm very cautious when it comes to trusting strangers. I don't know if that's good or bad. It takes time for me to trust someone.

The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids - Are you fooled easily?
I'd like to think that I don't get fooled easily. My dad says that I'm quite mature for my age, and I know what's what.

Beauty and the Beast - What makes someone beautiful in your eyes?
I don't think that being beautiful only represents someone's looks. Beauty can mean someone whose respectful, kind and most of all honest.

The Little Mermaid - What would you sacrifice for love?
You shouldn't sacrifice anything for love. If someone truly loves you then your flaws won't matter. That's how I see it!

The Frog Prince - What do you find disgusting?
I absolutely hate blood, to the extent where if I saw it I probably would faint. I also can't stand the smell of eggs and I think brussel sprouts are disgusting.

Jack and the Beanstalk - Do you have any plants?
Yes - I don't have any that are purely mine, but between my parents and I we share them!

Puss in Boots - Do you have any pets? If not, do you want them?
I have a cat called Saffy and a dog named Bobby.
Bobby came to us 9 years ago after a friend of mine said "oh Claire you really must have this dog." Apparently he was throw out of a moving car. It took all of 5 seconds for my dad to say we could keep him.
Saffy is 7 and was given to us by a friend. She's an extremely grumpy cat and is like my little sister who likes to knick my makeup brushes.

Bluebeard - What is your weak point?
I get paranoid over silly little this and it drives me insane.

Pinocchio - What is your biggest wish?
To be happy and to have achieved my goals.
Peter Pan - What is your mental age?
My dad says I've quite mature for my age, which is true. I know far too much about politics than I should for my age.

The Star Money - What is your most valuable possession?
I don't have anything that's valuable in money. They're more of a personal value. I have a small jewellery box that has a few pieces that my Grandma gave me and my Mums charm bracelet. I should wear them, but I like knowing that they're safe. Photos are another valuable item.

The Snow Queen - Who is your best friend? What would you do for them?
My best friend is called Mairena or May as she likes to be known. We first met in year 5, but didn't become friends until year 8. During the past seven we've been inseparable. We've shared some many laughs a few heartaches here and there, but we've suck together through all of that. I always know I can go to her for anything, and she knows that I'd do absolutely anything for her.

The Princess and the Pea - Are you sensitive?
Yes, I'm pretty sensitive.

Godfather Death - What qualities make a good parent?
I think a good parent is somebody who teaches you from right to wrong, who would love you unconditionally and do all they can to make their child happy. Support and guidance are also important, as a parent should support their child in whatever they do, or makes them happy. I'm lucky to have parents just like this :)

The Twelve Dancing Princesses/ The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes - Do you like parties?
Like them? I love parties! I don't go out that often, but when I do like to live it up lol.

The Emperor's New Clothes - Do you care a lot about your clothing?
I absolutely love shopping and fashion - I sometimes don't have the money to go out buying clothes everyday, but I like to look and see what's on trend.

The Brave Little Tailor - Do you consider yourself brave?
I'd like to say yes, but there are a lot of things that I could never do. I think I'm getting better at saying yes to different things and getting out of my comfort zone, but these things take time.

Those are my answers, I hope you enjoyed reading them. I'm only going to tag one person to do this, and that person is Katie from Katie May's Journal. Feel free to do this tag even if you haven't been tagged, it's really fun!

Catch ya later Xx
Ten years ago I moved to Spain with my parents. Ever since then I have only gone back to the UK twice! The last time I visited it was Christmas 2006 and I was 12. That's a really long time to go without seeing my family. But...that's all about to change this year.

In my New Year's Resolution post I talked about wanting to get out of my comfort zone and push the all the boundaries. So a few weeks ago I decided to book a flight and head back to my home country for a small vacation. The scary thing is, I'm going all on my own.

Now you'd think a 20 year old travelling alone is a common thing. It is, as there are many people my age who explore amazing places on their gap year or whenever. Me, I'm a little nervous.

I've been to places like New York and Madrid, and even though I wasn't with my parents I was still with a group of friends from college.

The thing that scares me most is flying. I don't mind when the plane is up in the air. It's the take off that I hate and start to panic. Another thing that worries me is the culture difference.

I've lived in Spain since I was 10 and I live in a very sleepy village. During that time I've gotten used to a slower way of life, and the way people are. When I go back to England its not going to be the same.

One of the reasons I'm doing this is to prove to myself that I can do lots of different things on my own.

Although I love my parents dearly, I'm at an age where I want more independence. Having independence or more of it opens up new opportunities as well as giving more experience in life.

I'm really looking forward to my trip in May. I can't wait to see family and I'm looking forward to going back to my hometown and letting all the memories floe back. I hope to spend a day in London and see the famous sites again.

I also hope to buy lots of beauty products and clothes so that I can write reviews and my thoughts on those products. As I know this blog is lacking in beauty and fashion reviews. I of course will write a post on what I got up to and will upload some photos of where I went.
Hey everyone!
I'm sorry for not posting in a while - I decided to take a little break. But now I'm back and my mind is refreshed and ready to start writing again.

It has occurred to me that since starting this blog I have never really done a shopping haul. I find that so hard to believe, as I am a complete shopaholic. And there's something really therapeutic about shopping. I get a certain pleasure when buying something new for my ever-growing wardrobe.

As I haven't been shopping in months me and my mum decided to spend a morning at the shops. It just so happened that the sales were on, but I (unfortunately) was on a budget of €25. I know that's not a lot, but I thought of it as a challenge to see what I could get on this very low budget. Without further ado, here are my purchases.

The first place we popped into was my favourite shop, Bershka. I was packed with people looking for goodies in the sale. The very first thing that I saw was a pair of army green trousers. They were reduced from €22 to €8. They're very lightweight and the material feels so expensive. These will be perfect for Spring and they even have a zip a the side of the leg so they can be rolled up.

I really wanted a top to go with my new "slacks", so I went in search of one, and found two. The first was a red crop top. I was a bit apprehensive of buying it, as I always uncomfortable about showing off my very white stomach. After a bit of persuasion from my mum I bought it. The next one I got was a white t-shirt, with a really cute butterfly design. It looked really baggy at first glance, but when I tried it on it felt really snug. Both these tops were in the sale and cost €3 each.

The second place I went to was the Spanish shop, Stradivarius, which is gradually opening new stores across Europe. While they had gorgeous new pieces for SS14, I went into the sale area to see if there was anything hidden. I found this lovely printed pencil skirt that I fell in love with. Others may not like it, and I can understand why, but I think it would go great with a black crop top or even just a smart blouse. That was on sale for €5.99.

The next thing I bought wasn't in the sale, but it was an "I had to have it" item. I absolutely adore this top. It's so soft. I also loved that it had a bit of colour to it, and that it wasn't a plain black and white striped top. For €7.95 I thought that it was a good price, and it will go with anything from jeans to a plain black skirt.
The very last purchase I made was for a dark green crop top. As I said earlier, I don't like wearing them. But what attracted me to it was the delicate star design and the colour. My mum also said it would look nice with the trousers I'd bought, and for €2.99 it was a bargain.

I was unable to get any accessories as I had no money left. I got some really nice pieces for my budget. It just goes to show that you can get some get stuff in the sale or when you only have a certain amount to spend.

3. Name one blog you wish you had found sooner
The blog I wished I had found sooner is Life of a Trainee Journalist. I have only started following her, but love what she writes. She is also training to be a journalist, like me, so I can relate to her in a way. You guys should really check her out.

4. Your favourite blog post of 2013
I think my favourite blog post of 2013 has to be my Choosing A Path Is Never Easy post. That was a moment in my life that I was proud of, and I wanted to share that with other bloggers to tell them that even thought we have so many choices to make in life, we have to be happy with the one that we do choose. I don't know if I inspired anyone, I hope I did though.

5. Would you like to improve (if anything) on your blog this year?
This year I would like to improve my blogs layout and add a few different widgets. I want my blog to have a crisper look, as I think it looks a tiny bit amateurish.

6. Name a blog you have a blog crush on
I absolutely love Brighton Dream's blog. I love her content and always read her new posts.

7. How often do you post?
I always try to post once a week. Sometimes I'll post twice, but that's very rare. There's sometimes a lack of inspiration, but I try to overcome that and get something out for Friday.

8. Share your first post of 2013
My first post of 2013 was in August when I first started blogging. It was a simple "Hello There", introducing myself to everyone.

9. Name one thing you'd be doing if you weren't typing this post right now
One thing I would be doing if I wasn't typing this post right now would be reading a book, or listening to music.

10. What have you loved most about blogging this year
What I've loved about blogging is that I'm able to talk about things that interest me, and am able to share that with all of you. I also love commenting on other girls blogs and then them commenting something back to me. Everyone is lovely on Blogger and there's a sense of community that lacks outside of the online world.

The bloggers I would like to tag are: Kik's Choice, My Chic Adventure, Katieemay, Firoza and The Girls Next Door.

Again, I would like to thank Michaela for nominating me, and I can't wait to read your replies!
Hey guys!

So recently I've been "band surfing" on Spotify. I'm pretty sure everybody does this at some point. We all get to the stage where we want something different or new to listen to.
That's exactly how I've been feeling lately. Even though there are some great tunes in the charts, I felt like exploring for some new music. And if your looking for something that's not your usual taste the Spotify is definitely the place to go.
So that's where I headed to...and I finally found a few bands that I haven't discovered before.

One of those bands was the 1975. I know they're not a new band, and that many people have heard of them. I thought I'd see what their self titled album from 2013, "The 1975", was like.

As soon as the first track started playing, I was hooked. As I listened to the rest of the album I knew that this band was going to become a new obsession.

I can't really describe their sound. It's sort of indie mix with a bit of rock 'n roll.

Their album has really suprised me. I don't usually like that type of music but there is something about that makes you want to listen to more of their songs.

I seriously would recommend The 1975 to anyone who wants a change from their normal listening. Each track has a great rythem to it, som of them don't even have lyrics.

My favourite tracks are Chocolate, Robbers and Settle Down. I also like the song HNSCC, which is on their EP "Music For Cars". There are no lyrics, but it always reminds me of walking in a forest :)
Hi everyone!

I just wanted to clear up one thing about my last blog post. I've been told that I shouldn't have used the word "sacked" or "fired" for that matter. As I said yesterday, my ex boss said I had done a good job. They just someone who has more free time. So in a way its more of me being let go, instead of getting the sack.

I'm sorry that I have made this to be something its not, but I'm still not going to let this get me down. There are other jobs out there.

Talk to you later xx

Before I begin this post I just want to say sorry for not posting anything last week. I was busy sorting out stuff for work (more about that later) and I hadn't had time to write a blog post. Now I have plenty...

There's no easy way to say this...so I'm just going to come out with it...I've been sacked. I know, I have never mentioned having a job, and up until recently I didn't have one. That all changed a few weeks ago.

Let me start from the beginning...A few weeks ago I was approached by an up and coming shoe company asking me to be their Spanish community manager. Each week I would need to write fashion related blog posts as well as tweets and posts on Facebook. I have never been a community manager before, but as they say "there's a first time for everything."

My initial thoughts were "OMG this is insane". I was going to be paid for something that I love doing, and it was a new experience. I was worried I wasn't going to be any good, but it only took me a day to accept their offer.

But something's must come to an end, and after only working with them for 2 weeks my time with them was up.

I feel a little annoyed. I had so many ideas for the blog, but my boss told me that I had done an amazing job, they just needed someone that had more free time.

OK so I got fired, big deal. Other great things will happen, and it has been a pleasure working for them and has given me new ideas...but most importantly it's taken me out of my comfort zone and given me new experiences. Those were both resolutions I wanted to achieve this year, and in a way I have.

What I'm trying to say is that things in this life are going to push you, knock you down...it's your decision as to whether you let them affect you or not. I've been excused from work, like many others. Something else will come up for me...for you. Just wait and see. Xx

This Tuesday is a big day, well for me it is....I turn 20.

I know, I know its not a milestone birthday, and to some it's not that big of a deal...but to me it is. I'm really dreading it, and I have no idea why. Its just another birthday, like any other, but for me turning 20 is a big deal.

When I turned 18 I thought "Yes! Freedom". I was legal to drink, I could learn to drive (although I've yet to start). I was so happy, I was considered an adult. Now that I'm turning 20 it means that I am an adult. My childhood has been and gone, there's nothing left but memories and photographs.

A chapter has ended in my life, but another one is just about to begin. So even though I'm not looking forward to it, I'm going to embrace it, because age is just a number.

If your turning 20, then here's a little qoute for you....

I sure did.

It's the beginning of the year (I still can't believe we're in 2014 already) is always a good time to think about life, the year ahead and to make those famous New Year's Resolutions.
I've made 5 this year and I really hope that I can keep them as to be quite honest I'm useless when it comes to sticking to my resolutions. Anyway here there are:

1. Try to upload at least one post every week. I started this blog last summer and since then I haven't blogged at all. I promise you that 2014 will be full of new content. Life is hectic, but walking in Claire's shoes is a huge part of my life and I don't want to give it up.

2. Worry less and try to enjoy life. I'm someone who worries about even the slightest little thing. I've gotten to the stage where it's taken over my life, and I hate it. I think this resolution is going to be the hardest to help, but instead of worrying I'm going to think happy thoughts because what's life without happiness :)

3. Be more organised. Since graduating high school my organisation has gone out the window. I have no time-table and my course notes are all over the place. I'm going to be more organised in my studies as well as my personal life, because that too is a mess and needs some serious sorting out.

4. Study more. Studying has been the same as my organisation....non existent. I've studied but I feel as if I haven't done enough. There's going to be a turning point, and if it means getting up early just to study then that's what I'm going to have to do.

5. Get out of my comfort zone. I'm someone who doesn't like change at all. I love it when there are routines in my life, but I'm starting to get tired of the same routines over and over again. So this year I`m going to try and push my boundaries and try as many different and new things as possible.
I can't believe that we're nearing a new year. It seems like only yesterday we were all celebrating the arrival of 2013, and now 2014 is on the horizon.
It's scary how times flies, but people say, as you get older the years go faster. That certainly seems the case.

For me 2013 was an eventful year. It had its ups and downs, but it will be one that I wont be forgetting in a hurry.

2013 saw me finish and graduate 6th form high school, and boy was I glad that that time had come. I was overjoyed school was over, but sad that another chapter in my life had come to an end.

I also had to make a very important decision this year. Choosing between university or a long distance course. After a short period I chose the latter. Now that I've had time to start the course, I've realised I had made the right decision and am thankful for the support I've been getting.

This past year has been full of lessons, but what's life without learning.

#2013TaughtMe that maybe sometimes it's better to think things through rather than choose your first option. Everything is achievable if you have faith in yourself.

As one of my new year resolutions I am going to try my best a posting a least once a week on this blog.

I hope you all have a happy and safe 2014 and thank you for reading a following this blog. It may not be a popular blog, but it always brings a smile to my face to know that people are reading my posts.

Happy New Year!
Christmas is my favourite time of the year. It's also the busiest and most stressful time. There's all this rushing around trying to get things done, like buying gifts for loved ones, wrapping up presents, decorating the tree and sending out cards.....the list goes on.

One of the many things I love about Christmas is baking. Every Christmas Eve I'm in the kitchen making some delicious goodies for the festive period.

This year is no different, so I thought I'd share with you two great recipes that you should all try. The first is a recipe I've been using for the past few years. It's simple and easy to make.

A Very Rocky Road

For the ingredients you will need.....

250g dark chocolate

150g milk chocolate

175g soft butter

4 tablespoons of golden syrup

200g amaretto or digestive biscuits which ever you prefer (I've gone for digestive as I think they taste better)

150g red glace cherries
100g sultanas

1 tablespoon icing sugar

Now that you have everything let's begin preparing.

1. Break up both dark and milk chocolate in to small pieces, put into a heat resistance bowl then add the butter and syrup. Melt on a gentle heat until the chocolate becomes a smooth liquid.

4. Now its time to combined all the ingredients together. Grab yourself a mixing bowl and pour in the melted chocolate and digestives. Stir together then add in the cherries and sultanas. Make sure that everything is covered in chocolate.

5. Line a baking/foil tray with a few layers of Clingfilm, then cover the base with a piece of baking paper. Tip the mixture into tray smoothing it out as best you can, although it will look bumpy.

Can anyone believe that in 44 days time it will be Christmas? I can't wait, it's my favourite time of year. You know when its snowing outside and your indoors snuggled up with a hot chocolate and blanket, watching old Christmas movies while the fireplace it lit, giving a lovely warmth to the room. Or you could be going to the beach and sunbathing because its so hot where you live.

One of my favourite things about Christmas are the adverts on the TV. Just something about them always gives me the sense that we're getting closer and closer to the Big Day. My favourite advert this year is the Lidl one.

I don't know why I like it so much. It's not the way the food is wrapped up in wrapping paper. I think the reason I like it so much is the use of song in the background. It's a cover of One Direction's Little Things.

I like the original very much, but after hearing the cover by The Majority Says, I think its so much better. Please don't give me hate for saying that.

Here's the video below of the advert. Hope you like it, and tell me what you think of the cover song. x

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Double, double, toil and trouble;

Something wicked this way comes!

Tomorrow or today or yesterday (depending on when and where you are reading this) is the day of All Hallows. Yay it's Halloween, and I thought hey let's do something to celebrate this spooky day by tell ghost stories. Muhahahahahaaaaa. Only joking :)

I never really do much on this holiday (can you call it a holiday?), it's just out here in Spain people don't really celebrate it like they do in England or in America. Ahh to be at a Halloween party in the US...it's gotta be fun.

Anyhow I'm obsessed with painting my nails, and I've seen so many tutorials on nail art. Today I was doing absolutely nothing, until an idea stuck me like a bolt of lightning. Why not do some crazy Halloween nail art? :D

So I went on Facebook and decided to do try and recreate this design.

It looked simple enough and easy to do....boy was I wrong. For me it wasn't as easy as it looked. You see my painting skills aren't the best and I'm not the best when it comes to patience. Anyway after about an hour of my tongue sticking out in concentration, this was the result.

Yes I know...they look awful, and that was just one hand. I'm not even going to show you what the other one looks like.

On an all, I really enjoyed doing this nails, even if they did take ages and look hideous. I personally like the step by step picture tutorial, they so much easier than instructions.

If you liked the nail design then make sure you check out the link bellow, tell me what you think of my attempt (please don't be too harsh).

Hope you all have a happy and safe a Halloween.

See ya later xx

God it's been years since I last posted....actually it's probably only been about a month, but that's still a long time. Well...how are you all? (this is beginning to sound like a letter lol)

Anyways, my apologise for not posting in a while. I have been extremely busy. That's one of the worst and most used excuses to have ever been invented, but I have genuinely been busy. So I thought I'd give you a tiny update on my life :

As some of you know, I decided to take a long distance journalism course, well I applied a few weeks back and have now received my books and materials. I've been studying for my trainee reporting and have just started my first unit of coursework. And trust me there's an awful lot of coursework that has to be done, as well as reading tons of books. I'm excited to have started, some of the subjects look tough but at the same time interesting. I have two years to complete my course before I sit the exams....so I've got plenty of time to work and study.

I've also started working as a translator, which gives me some money and helps other people out who can't understand Spanish. It's not a steady job, but hopefully I can soon say that I have a part time job somewhere. Fingers crossed. As well as translating I help my mum out in our shop (have I mentioned that my parents own a shop? well they do...they own an internet café) I spent most of my Fridays helping out and serving costumers. The down side is that I don't get paid, but never mind.

I think that's about it. I'm really going to try and post more as I've got loads of ideas...maybe I can do a weekly post on a Friday, as I'm working in the shop. Have to wait a see.

Tatarrr my lovelies....make sure you leave a comment.

I would like to talk to you all about....lipsticks. There's something about lipsticks or lip-glosses that I absolutely love. I think it's because they're the beauty product that completes your look whenever your applying make up. It's always the concealer and base first, then the powder for contours or blush goes on, then the eye shadow, the liner, mascara and finally there's the lips.

As I might of said before, lipsticks and lip-glosses are my all time favourite beauty product, and over the years my collection has grown and grown. I always make sure that there is something on my lips, even if its Vaseline. With that said, let's get started with this beauty review.

A few months ago I went out and splashed some cash on a whole new make up range at Kiko for my graduation. Anyway, I spent a little too much, as when the bill was rung up I nearly fell over, but I kept telling myself this was an investment and for an important event. :)

In my bag of goodies, I had purchased the Vinyl Lips liquid lipstick in Ardent Cherry. Now let me just say that I was a little reluctant at buying it as none of my lipsticks are such vibrant colours of red. But we must all try out new experiences.

I feel like I'm rambling a bit, so I will get to the point of this review, as I'm sure you're all dying to hear my opinion haha.

I absolutely LOVE this lipstick because it's easy to apply and gives your lips that "wow" factor. It's also long lasting - even if it doesn't say so on the tube - which was brilliant for me as I didn't have to keep going to the bathroom to apply more. I also found the price (€6.90) was quite reasonable.

The other thing I love about this lipstick is that you can apply the colour how it is, or if you feel that its a little to bold then you can tone it down. Just apply some Vaseline to your lips, then using a lip brush take a small amount of lip-gloss from the wand and blend into your lips.

For me Vaseline is essential :)

Ugg Boots. If you don't know what Uggs are, then you've probably been living under a rock all your life. Only joking :), but seriously can we please take some time out to appreciate the beautiful creation of Ugg.

I'll admit that when they first came into fashion, my initial thoughts were "what on earth are these things? Surely the can't be classed as boots" I mean they're so chunky and make your feet look like they belong to an ogre. They were a pair of boots that weren't going to have a space in my wardrobe.

But they were a trend setter, and after hearing comments like "they're so snuggly", I went off to my nearest shopping centre to purchase a pair. I was reluctant to buy them at first, but after trying them on, I understood exactly why everyone was raving about these boots.

My pair aren't from UGG Australia as being on a budget didn't allow me to, but that doesn't mean that they're not as comfy.

I can't wait for the winter weather to hit, so I can finally start wearing them again. They may have gone out of fashion now, but they won't stop me wearing them.
Amazing to think that before I couldn't bear Uggs, and now they take pride of place in my winter wardrobe. ;)

I am so sorry for not posted a lot this week. I've had some really important decisions to make, and I want to share them with you all.

In my previous posts I wrote about the troubles I've been having with trying to get into university (if you haven't read them, then you can click here and here). It was a horrible feeling to know that there was a slight possibility that I wasn't going to get in this year. It was a waiting game and all I could do was hope and pray that someone would drop out, so I could take there place. And they did just that.

A few nights ago, I received a message from the university saying "Congratulations, you have a place on the English course blah blah blah". At this stage fireworks should have been going off and I should have had a huge smile on my face. But there was no smile, instead a cold shiver went down my back and I burst into tears. They lasted all night and I cried most of the next day.
I thought I was crying because I was happy with the news, I wasn't. I realised that an English course wasn't what I wanted, it never was and it never will be.

I had to think long and hard on what I was going to do. Was I going to accept the place at uni and spend 4 years studying for something I don't want? Or follow not only my hear but my dreams and take an online journalism course?

Well, I'm pleased to say that I have made my decision, and I've decided to....decline my university place. I felt that my heart wasn't in it, and that it wasn't fair on someone who did want to do the course. As I may have said in another post, my dream is to become a journalist, and by taking the NCTJ online course I'm one step closer to achieving that.
I cannot tell you how happy I feel now that I have made up my mind. This course isn't going to be easy, but I'm prepared to do whatever it takes.

Choosing a path in life is never easy, but you have to do what you feel is right. You only get one change to live, so go take the risk and listen to your heart, because as the actor, Michael Cain "Life is not a dress rehearsal"
This is just a quickie to say no I'm not dead, I'm very much alive and to say sorry for my lack of posts.
It's been a roller-coaster of a week. I found out on Thursday that I have a very big chance of actually going to university this year. I never thought this would happen, but it turns out that I am number 3 on the waiting list for an English Degree. It's not the course I wanted but I'm willing to take it. So I'm really excited yet nervous at the same time, because they could turn round and say sorry but nobody has dropped out of the course. But I'm keeping positive :)

I just wanted to say that I haven't given up on my blog and my readers/followers, because it always puts a smile on my face to know that you lot are out there reading about my crazy life, beauty and fashion reviews etc. That last part sounded really mushy lol!

Anyway, I've got some blog posts and ideas on the go, so hopefully (fingers crossed) they will be up soon.

If you've got any ideas on blog posts for me, then comment down below. I always love hearing from you guys.

Cheerio my lovelies xxx

Hello lovely readers!
When I first started this blog I was told about the Liebster award, and its amazing support. I am ver very happy to say that I have been nominated by Maggie of My Chic Adventure. It means so much to me and I can't thank her enough. Here is a link to her amazing blog, you guys should seriously go and check her blog out because its totally brill.
http://mychicadventure.blogspot.com.

Right so for those of you lovely lot that don't know what the Liebster award is, it's a tag for those blog that have less than 200 followers. It's a fantastic way to help support all the brilliant and talented bloggers on the blogging community. But, how does it work?

A fellow blogger will nominate you, and will leave you 10 questions on their blog. All you have to do is answer them on your blog and then write down 10 different questions for the 10 people you nominate.

So, lets get started and answer the questions I was given.

My Questions:

1. What made you want to start blogging?
I love writing as well as fashion and beauty and I wanted to combined the three. But most of all my main goal is to become a journalist, so starting a blog was a big deal. I also wanted people to be able to see life in my shoes, and that's how I got the name for my blog.

2. What is your favourite part about the blogging community?
The other bloggers and their ability to brighten your day with the comments they leave you. I may not have any followers, but it puts a smile on my face to see that people have read what I've got to say. They're an incredible bunch of talented people, and those people can become close friends of yours no matter what part of world your from.

3. What is your favourite social networking site?
I'm addicted to Twitter and Instagram, so it's got to be those two.

4. Who is your celebrity inspiration?
Gok Wan. He's such a sweet and bubbly person. I love that he cares about other people and wants to help them build their confidence back from whatever body issue or problems like bullying. He's also, in my opinion, the best fashion guru there is.

5. What is your favourite article of clothing?
A few years ago I was obsessed with jeans, but my mind changes like the seasons. For the past year I've had a thing for leggings or jeggings. My mind goes crazy when I see all these different patterns and colours. I also love the fact that I can either dress them up or have a lazy day and put on the comfiest with a jumper or hoodie.

6. What is one thing you could never live without?
I could be boring and say something like water or food or even the internet, but I'm going to say loved ones, like my parents and my close friends. They've been there for me when I've need them, and I am always grateful for that.

7. If you could meet any blogger, who would it be?
This is a tough question. I think it would be Zoe of Zoella. She's a great inspiration to me, she's helped me (as well as others) with panic attacks. I love her mannerism, and the way she is when meeting fans AND of course I love her blog and YouTube channel.

8. What is your favourite beauty product?
I'm a big fan of lipsticks, lip glosses, but my all time must is lip balm. I hate having chapped lips so I always have a tube on me wherever I go.

9. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I've always wanted to go to Venice. And I hope that someday I can say that I have.

10. What is your favourite store to shop at?
I love a shop called Bershka. It's one of the best, but it can be a little bit expensive. I also love Primark, as you can find great bargains in there if your on a budget.

I hope you all learnt something new about me (sorry if some of the answers are long). Again I want to thank Maggie of My Chic Adventure for tagging me in the Liebster Award.

Now here are the lovelies I've tagged. Make sure you check them out, and follow them :
I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything in the last few days, I've been a bit down. :(

To those of you that read my post on Sunday you will know that I had a meeting with the University of Murcia. As I said in the post, I was really nervous about going and didn't know why that had asked me to see them.

Well I went....and its not very good news I'm afraid. They didn't offer me a place, as the last vacancy went a few hour before me. I was devastated. They said that they would keep me on another waiting list, to see if any other places come up, and that they would call me sometime in October.

On the journey back home my mind went into overdrive. I couldn't really focus on what my dad was saying, because all I could think about was what I was going to do. In my head I could see the University dream moving further a further away until I couldn't see it.

I was a mess, but somehow my dad said that it was ok, and that things happen for a reason. He helped me see that if I didn't get into Uni in October, then there were other options for me to take. Not everything was bad. I had to stay positive for my own sake.

As I'm learning now, life isn't always that easy and we don't always get what we want, but we've got to stick with it and never give up on ourselves. Never let the dream stay a dream, someway or another we've got to make it a reality. We've got to make the most of life!

Again, I apologise for not posting in the past few days, I wanted a bit of time to get my head round the news.

Tomorrow I have a meeting with the University of Murcia. I don't know why they have scheduled this meeting, because I'm still waiting on a place there. All I do know is that I'm so nervous as to what will happen, and slightly annoyed. This waiting has been going on now since the middle of July, and I'm still none the wiser as to whether or not I have a place at Uni or not.

I'll admit, I'm scared of what they are going to say tomorrow. All I do know is that I have to fill out some forms. But if I have to fill out these forms, wouldn't that mean I've gotten into university? I'm a nervous wreck at the moment.

Not begin accepted a place first time is disheartening, but to be told that there still isn't a place for you after 2 months of waiting is even worse. Your constantly thinking about it daily. Its horrible and in a way also ruins your summer. It could also ruin your life, because you want to study at uni but your told "no we don't want you because your grades aren't great" or "we haven't got the places".

I don't know what the next step will be if I don't get accepted. It maybe that I have to move back to the UK, which is something I would like to do, but on the other hand I'll miss my parents and friends.

I'm just going to have to wait and see. I really want to have the student life, studying and working. And Murcia is a beautiful city, that I would love to explore, but if the university says no then that life won't become reality.

So to the University of Murcia, its down to you. My fate is in your hands.
Look what I've bought!
So the other day I went to lunch with a few friends because I haven't seen them in a while and it was my best friends birthday. We spent all day having fun and catching up on gossip (as all of us do when we meet up with our girlfriends).
I kinda had this feeling, as it was September and the weather's getting cooler...to go on a shopping spree.

I love shopping, seriously I could spend hours looking for the right outfit or accessory. This was probably the smallest and shortest amount of time I have ever spent shopping, because I only bought one item.
But when I walked into the shop and saw it, I had a "I had to have it" moment. I think most people get them when they go into a shop, they see a top or a pair of jeans and they have to buy them because they can't live without it. Does anyone else get these moments? Or is it just me?

Anyway the top came in 5 different colours (black, grey, brown, cream and pink). I don't really wear a lot of colour in the winter, I tend to wear a lot of black, because I know it goes with anything. But I had an impulse to buy the pink and try to wear more colour this season.

I love the colour, its not an in your face type of pink, but a calm and pale pink, and its really soft and snuggly to wear.

What do you lovely lot think? Is it something you would wear or are you like me and wear a lot of black in the winter? Let me know in the comment box. xxx
